How Can You Be Code Compliant?

Municipalities are enforcing code compliance through the local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), such as your local Fire Marshall to ensure your Emergency Responder Radio Coverage (ERRC) provides first responders’ safety and communication in the case of an emergency. How does a Public Safety BDA-DAS work?

Bi-Directional Amplifiers, also known as BDAs, are signal boosters that support two-way radio and cellular communications throughout a facility – improving challenging areas that might not otherwise receive a wireless signal. BDAs are amplifiers/repeaters that boost and distribute a signal covering various frequencies. BDAs are traditionally part of a Distributed Antenna System (DAS). The DAS is a network of antennas that receive the external signals. These signals are internally distributed on a common cable or fiber transport that distributes the signal to the BDAs to amplify the RF or cellular signals. Collectively, BDA/DAS equipment is often referred to as wireless In-Building Solutions.
