Our commitment to customer satisfaction has driven us to offer many types of service, tailored to customers’ specific needs. We can customize a service plan for any customer that will meet or exceed the most stringent requirements.
Some examples are below illustrating this point:
Zone Technicians
These technicians are responsible for a specific geographic area. Backup is provided by adjacent zone technicians. Each zone tech drives a fully equipped service van and is prepared with parts and test equipment to provide timely repairs on customer equipment in the field. These technicians become very familiar with the systems in place in their zone and develop a keen understanding of their customer requirements. Zone technicians rotate 7x24 on call in order to be available to restore failed customer equipment at any time of the day or night. Zones are cross trained in order to ensure that the level of service remains top notch when a technician is ill or on vacation.
Bench Technicians
Customers that have chosen to mail in their equipment for repair are supported by our bench technicians. These technicians handle anything from the smallest pager to complex project 25 compliant communications equipment. These technicians also service any drive in repairs. No appointment is necessary for a repair at ComSource!
Dedicated Technicians
Customers with large projects often find that the convenience of a dedicated technician is the best solution for their situation. We provide dedicated technicians by the week, month, or year. Selected examples below:
State of Michigan For the last 5 years we have used between 3 and 6 dedicated technicians to support the State of Michigan as they roll out sequential phases of their Statewide Communications System. ComSource, Inc. relocated technicians to remote areas of the state to provide rapid response time in the case of outages. Dedicated technicians come with a full set of the latest communications system analyzers, software, tools and test equipment. Generally, these are our most highly skilled and experienced people. In the event a dedicated technician is ill or on vacation, a fully trained backup technician relocates to the covered area to provide seamless support to the customer.
Saginaw County For the last 6 years we have provided a dedicated technician to Saginaw County to provide both infrastructure and subscriber repairs as well as managing physical site maintenance (tower, generator, etc.)
Routed Technicians
Many customers enjoy the cost savings and reliability of a routed technician. Repair requests are called in by the customer as they arise and the routed technician will arrive on a scheduled day and time to repair the equipment. Example: Customer has routed service 2 days a week Tuesday and Thursday at 10. Customer calls in on Monday with 2 repairs. The technician arrives Tuesday at 10 to make those repairs and deliver any accessories the customer may have ordered. These technicians also carry a full complement of spare parts and test equipment. General Motors, St. Clair County, Chrysler, and the Veterans Administration hospital are among our routed service customers.
Group Leaders
ComSource, Inc. group leaders are our most highly skilled and experienced technicians who have also mastered complex communications systems. They are highly trained and motivated individuals. When they are not implementing and optimizing new wide area communications systems or troubleshooting system level failures in highly interrelated systems, they are assisting and training the rest of our technical force. They are known statewide for their abilities in complex communications systems.
Installers
Our installation department is focused on high quality installation of customer equipment. A high quality installation will work far longer with a much lower cost of ownership to the customer, allowing the reliability of the equipment to show. These installation techniques have been developed over years of customer interaction and extend the useful life of the equipment as well as increased reliability drastically. We are so proud of our installation work that we guarantee the installation for the life of the vehicle!
